The role We are seeking an experienced Construction lawyer with 3+ years PQE to join our busy and successful Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team in our Melbourne office.
This position offers the successful candidate the unique opportunity to work on a wide range of front and back end high quality construction work across a broad spectrum of construction matters and contractual disputes.
You will need to demonstrate solid expertise in drafting of commercial and litigation documents, provision of commercial legal advice and be commercially astute.

This role will give you the opportunity to consistently challenge yourself through being exposed to a range of interesting projects, construction and infrastructure work, as well as being exposed to a range of clients including head contractors, developers, consultants and subcontractors.

You will be provided with continuous learning opportunities and will be mentored and supported as you develop your career as a Projects, Infrastructure & Construction Lawyer.
Your learning experience will be underpinned by an excellent CLE program, and the opportunity to build relationships within our National Projects, Infrastructure & Construction Team and gain exposure to work across Australia.

You will be motivated to learn and have a willingness to apply yourself in an environment in which measurables are realistic and your career growth is a priority.

To succeed in this role you will ideally have Experience as an admitted lawyer with 3 - 6 years PQE experience within Construction Exposure to both front end and back end work is desirable An excellent academic record coupled with strong technical legal skills A commitment to excellence and delivery of high quality outcomes to our clients Ability to effectively manage your own time, managing competing tasks and at time working to tight deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail A proactive and 'can do' attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman About Us Piper Alderman is a premier commercial law firm with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Melbourne.
