MUFG's project finance team provides non-recourse debt and advisory solutions to the banks key clients.
We facilitate access to MUFG's comprehensive suite of finance solutions to address client needs at every state of a project's life cycle.
The Associate will be responsible for assisting senior Project Finance team members in originating and executing financial advisory or lending mandates in Oceania, with a primary focus on financial modelling.
What you'll be doing: Ensuring all transactions comply with MUFG's credit and other policiesSupervise and/or build and run Excel based financial models to support advisory and lending activitiesUndertake research and analytics to support advisory activitiesSupport and undertake due diligence activitiesDevelop transaction structures and documentationMaintain relationships with clients, other financial institutions, external service providers and other teams within MUFGAssist in the preparation of presentations for mandates and to support origination activitiesTo positively liaise with MUFG's local and international networks including global project finance teams, structured credit, and Sydney BranchTo manage deal information on various internal systems and associated internal deal processesTo prepare or contribute to research papers including attending industry seminars and presentationsWhat we are looking for: 2 - 3 years' experience relevant project finance or modelling experience from major domestic/international bank, advisory services firm, or chartered accounting firm.Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Economics from a leading university is essentialProficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products and strong financial modelling capabilitiesAbility to build and run Financial Models from scratchPossess an understanding of financial structures and debt marketsBe able to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detailThe ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verballyHas strong interpersonal and presentations skillsIs a team player, has drive and enthusiasmIs a self-starter who applies initiative and is adaptable to changeHas an analytical mindset and problem solving skillsHas the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholdersOur culture: MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers' prosperity.
