ABOUT THE ROLE The Rural and Remote Nursing Lead is expected to provide high level academic leadership and to have an established reputation in terms of their own research and teaching. The role fulfills the accountabilities as the program coordinator for the School's Rural and Remote Programs. Key Responsibilities Select and recruit students into Broome nursing and midwifery programs and actively market the programs in order to grow student enrolments.Ensure nursing and midwifery cross campus and interprofessional collaboration in curriculum development, teaching, learning and assessment in collaboration with the National Head of School.In collaboration with the school's leadership group, develop initiatives to continuously improve the provision of a high-quality student learning experience and ensure that the programs meet students' and employers' expectations with respect to content and quality, and are well regarded by academic peers.Provide local expertise to the School of Nursing and Midwifery on matters related to Kimberley nursing workforce issues that may be of relevance to their delivery of high-quality programs through the Broome campus, and provide local expertise to Faculty leadership on strategic opportunities to grow UNDA Nursing and Midwifery offerings in the KimberleyLead the Schools nursing and midwifery teaching team to contribute to the delivery of high quality nursing and midwifery education through the Broome campus.Contribute to School leadership and administration to ensure that teaching activities are delivered with quality, and are seamlessly integrated with metropolitan teaching activities.In conjunction with the Majarlin Rural and Remote Nursing Lead, the Majarlin Director, and the School of Nursing National Head of School, ensure complementary integration of the Schools Broome-based activities, and Majarlin's rural and remote workforce activities.Leadership Make a strong contribution to the research and/or scholarship and/or teaching and administration activities of an organisational unit, including a large organisational unit, or interdisciplinary area.
