About the role The School of Science is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor or Professor in Forensic Science to this senior academic leadership role. This position requires a forward-thinking, contemporary, and innovative leader.
Responsibilities Appointees at Level D (Associate Professor) will make significant contributions to the research and teaching efforts of the School and University, including the supervision of honours and postgraduate research students. They are expected to provide leadership and foster excellence in research relevant to their discipline area.
Appointees at Level E (Professor) will lead the forensic science program, fostering excellence in research, teaching, professional activities, and development within the forensic discipline. They will maintain academic standards, develop educational policy, and contribute to the strategic directions of the School.
Both levels require a distinguished track record of research in the Forensic Sciences, expertise to teach the breadth of the forensic science curriculum, and demonstrated experience in research training at the postgraduate level.
About You The successful candidate will provide leadership in the teaching, design, and delivery of subjects within relevant programs, actively enhancing the student experience. They will supervise masters and higher degree research students, develop a robust research profile, and lead a research culture with successful competitive grant activity.

Remuneration Packages: ACADEMIC D – Associate Professor $202,792 to $222,734 p.a.
ACADEMIC E – Professor $259,309 to $268,332 p.a.
