Our vision is to transform health and well-being both locally and globally, for individuals and communities. The discipline of Physiotherapy, situated within the Graduate School of Health, is deeply engaged with the health sector, industry, practitioners, and the global research community. We are dedicated to delivering education that ensures students are practice-ready upon graduation. To help students integrate theory into practice, we use a range of teaching methods, including problem-based learning, simulated clinical environments, clinical placements, and interdisciplinary workshops. Our commitment extends to advancing high-impact research across a broad area of physiotherapy practice.
About the role
We have an opportunity for an Associate Professor to contribute to teaching, learning, and curriculum development within the physiotherapy discipline. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping our educational programs, ensuring students receive a contemporary, practice-oriented education. You will work closely with academic colleagues and external partners to embed best practices and innovative approaches to teaching. The role responsibilities include developing and delivering high-quality learning experiences across the physiotherapy curriculum, supervising postgraduate research students, and mentoring early-career researchers.
About You
We are seeking an individual with a strong record of achievement in physiotherapy education and research, who is committed to engaging with industry, healthcare professionals, and the global academic community to drive the next generation of health professionals.
To be successful you will also need:

A PhD in Physiotherapy
Qualified Physiotherapist with current AHPRA registration (or limited registration for teaching and research with AHPRA)
Comprehensive knowledge of physiotherapy principles and practices, with preferred areas of expertise in musculoskeletal and/or neurology physiotherapy
Considerable clinical and research experience
