Narrogin Senior High School (SHS) are seeking to establish a pool of Associate Principals for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role Suitable applicants would ideally assume a pivotal role, working closely with the Principal and the School leadership team to shape the school's identity. Educational leadership and instructional coaching are key responsibilities involving the active development and promotion of the school's vision, values, ethos, and priorities. Suitable applicants should champion a collaborative approach, promoting whole school programs, low variance, Positive behaviour in schools and support for students at educational risk, encouraging not only staff but also volunteers and community members to actively share ownership of the school's vision and goals. This collaborative ethos extends to change management, where the Associate Principal strategically facilitates the acceptance of change and identifies opportunities for improved service delivery.
Overseeing school operations, suitable applicants are instrumental in ensuring the effective operation of the school. This includes the delivery of the School Business Plan through decision-making, policy development, and the establishment of systems that align with the school's overarching objectives. Additionally, the Associate Principal provides strategic direction for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in professional performance. The Associate Principal also plays a vital role in the daily management of staff and student well-being, overseeing timetabling responsibilities.
Overall, the Associate Principal serves as a key figure for educational leadership and operational effectiveness within the school.
About the School Narrogin SHS is a genuine comprehensive educational institution on a whole school improvement journey encompassing Fogarty EDvance. Our Business plan commenced this year with a clear direction based on instructional leadership and student outcomes. The nostalgic two storey structure of the school has pride of place in the town and has been built on the highest point in the district with sweeping views of the town and the hinterlands. An extensive building program has resulted in a new Hospitality Trade Training Facility, a new Administration building, and new state of the art Music and Performing Arts centres. Narrogin SHS also draws students from all directions including Boddington, Wickepin, Pingelly, and Wagin.

Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. The temporary ARI payment is in addition to other incentives that may apply in this school.
