About the Role:
We are seeking a Associate/Principal Ecologist with 7-8 years of experience to join a dedicated, passionate and entrepreneurial team in Brisbane, Toowoomba or Gold Coast. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and development of our Ecology Discipline in Queensland. This unique position offers opportunities for technical leadership or a secondary leadership role, collaborating with the Ecology Lead to expand the team's presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities: Lead, plan, and execute ecological investigations, including baseline surveys, monitoring programs, regional ecosystem classification, and fauna assessments.Conduct data analysis, mapping, and impact assessments.Prepare and review technical reports such as investigation reports, ecological management plans, and impact assessments.Manage ecology projects and foster client relationships.Scope, prepare, and lead proposals.Support the well-being, development, and resourcing of team members.Participate actively in business development initiatives.Requirements: 7-8 years of relevant ecological experience in Queensland, preferably in industry, consulting, or government.Experience leading ecological fieldwork and monitoring programs.Class C open license required; experience with 4WD desirable.Ability to travel and work remotely as needed for work.Proficiency in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data management systems preferred.What's on offer?
