About the role Brisbane based opportunity to learn on the job where you will be exposed to various types of financing and investment structures. Working within a high performing team, this role will suit a motivated individual who enjoys working autonomously on multiple priorities.
Focussing on ongoing investment and asset management, insights analysis, reporting and managing internal and external stakeholders, you'll gain exposure across CEFC's portfolio, including potential development opportunities in the renewables, residential and/or transport sectors.
The role is responsible for ensuring Portfolio Management meets ongoing asset management requirements for specific investments including:
Managing and monitoring the ongoing satisfaction of counterparty obligations against covenants and/or performance targets and addressing and managing non-compliance or key issues with counterparties and senior management. Managing and negotiating regular and ad-hoc counterparty requests to obtain the required approvals via appropriate use of delegated authority or the internal approval process to meet counterparty deadlines. Liaising with Finance, Legal and Investment teams on payment, drawdown profile, legal and scenario stress testing to maintain a high degree of control over transactions on an ongoing basis. Working with the Sustainability, Investment, Rewiring the Nation teams and counterparties to drive knowledge sharing and influencing decarbonisation outcomes. Monitoring and managing ESG and sustainability-related obligations and reporting, including measuring carbon outcomes for projects. Managing handover of investment transactions from the Investment and Rewiring the Nation teams ahead of financial close to Portfolio Management to ensure a high degree of knowledge transfer exists at the point of handover. Working closely with the stakeholders on the strategic direction for each transaction and complete and present Asset Management Plans to the Asset Management Committee. Contributing to the continual improvement of Portfolio Management's internal controls and processes to adopt industry best practice in monitoring and reporting of investments. Undertaking investment and/or portfolio analysis to support detailed reviews and reporting to the CEFC Executive and Board, with a particular focus on asset performance, valuation, risk and return for each investment, and sustainability outcomes. Involvement in undertaking valuations for specific investments. About You Supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in business/finance, commerce or law you will bring to the role:
Experience within banking or corporate finance. An understanding of bank loan and fixed income transactions, project finance, or credit risk management beneficial. High attention to detail, and effective time management skills. Experience effectively and succinctly communicating complex transaction details and undertaking financial and risk analysis reporting to senior management. Demonstrable experience analysing financial statements and interpreting and using financial models relative to project milestones, financial covenants, drawdowns and capital structure. Ability to work effectively across multiple internal business areas to manage the invested transactions. Only direct applications that include a CV and covering letter will be considered.
