ABOUT US WBC is a reformed, evangelical, Baptist church located in Wollongong, the third largest city in NSW, about 85km south of Sydney. Our mission is "to know Christ and make Him known", and we believe that God speaks through His Word – making it central to all we do. With an average attendance of around 650 people across our six Sunday services, we love that we already have people from more than 40 nationalities as part of our church and long to see people from everywhere come to know Jesus.
ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a godly man or woman to join our staff team and lead our Magnification purpose area across our three English speaking congregations. This role seeks to help people experience & express the greatness of God in awe, praise, prayer and obedience.
The role is being offered at two levels: as an Associate Pastor or as a Gospel Worker. The Associate Pastor version of the role is open to suitably qualified men, and will have the successful applicant joining the church eldership and sharing in the preaching and shepherding responsibilities across the whole church, in addition to leading the Magnification purpose area. The Gospel Worker version of the role is open to suitably men and women, with the focus being limited to leading the Magnification purpose area.
Candidates will need to meet the Biblical character requirements for leaders (1 Tim 3:1-7, Tit 1:6-9), and be committed to a reformed, evangelical and complementarian position.
