Whitehill Church is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to lead and oversee its outreach strategy and adult ministries. The Associate Pastor will also assist the Lead Pastor by contributing to strategic planning, preaching, and pastoral care.Whitehill is an established, contemporary, multi-generational church with the vision to Love God, Love People, and Follow Jesus. Role ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a church-wide outreach strategy in consultation with the Lead Pastor.Train and equip the congregation for relational evangelism and discipleship.Plan and execute attractional outreach opportunities (community events and special Sunday services).Train and equip a team of leaders to facilitate regular outreach courses (e.g., Alpha).Assist with the development and implementation of Whitehill's online outreach opportunities (e.g., website, social media).Adult MinistriesProvide strategic oversight of Whitehill's adult ministries (Men's, Women's, Young Adults, and Primetimers).Recruit, train, and equip volunteer team leaders for each adult ministry area.Pastoral ResponsibilitiesAttend and contribute to all relevant leadership team meetings, service planning meetings, and prayer meetings.Assist the Lead Pastor with day-to-day pastoral duties.Regularly preach at Whitehill's Sunday services (1-2/month).Minister to congregation members through prayer and pastoral visitations.Be prepared to officiate weddings and funerals if required.Be familiar with the Lead Pastor's role and responsibilities.Function as the second-in-command to the Lead Pastor by leading the staff team in the Lead Pastor's absence.Be reliable, trustworthy, and teachable persons who meet the character qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.Demonstrate an appropriate Christian life both in public and private.Able to train and equip leaders for ministry.Able to create, innovate, and implement ministry strategies.Theologically trained (BTh or BMin preferred).Skilled communicator and preacher.Strong technology and administration skills.Able to organise teams to accomplish goals.Able to be endorsed as a ministering person with Churches of Christ Queensland.How To Apply
