Building on your experience and further study, you'll continue to grow from a competent to proficient practitioner while taking accountability for your own practice standards and activities delegated to others. In this role, you will also be instrumental in guiding and developing less experienced staff, contributing to their professional growth within the team.
Working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager or equivalent, you will provide essential support in leading and coordinating nursing staff. You will promote continuity and consistency of care, collaborate on implementing practice changes, and assist with a variety of management responsibilities, including performance management, recruitment, rostering, staffing, and financial planning. This is an exciting opportunity to take a hands-on leadership role in the smooth running of the ward/unit/service while ensuring high standards of care and operational efficiency.

Holds current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with eligibility for a practicing certificate.Has at least 3 years' post-registration experience as a Registered Nurse/Midwife, or is classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.Demonstrates strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Is knowledgeable in contemporary nursing/midwifery practices, relevant legislation, and quality improvement systems, and has experience supervising less experienced staff.About CALHN The Central Adelaide Local Health Network includes South Australia's major quaternary facility, the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre, and the Repat Health Precinct.
