Associate Nurse Unit Manager, Medical Ward Job no: 863496 Work type: Full time Location: South East Categories: Nursing/Midwifery Limestone Coast Local Health Network, Mount Gambier & Districts Health Service Salary: $100,343 - $107,279 p.a - RN/RM2A Ongoing Part Time (64 hours per fortnight over a 7 day roster) Overview In this pivotal management position, you will provide support to the Nurse Unit Manager in the leadership of nurses within the Medical Ward at the Mount Gambier & District Health Service. Promoting continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other Nurse Unit Managers, you will contribute to the implementation of practice changes and undertake service management responsibilities. These will include performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring. Utilising your nursing skills and knowledge, you will support and work collaboratively with less experienced members of the nursing team. With prior experience in management and leadership roles, you will be capable of giving supervision to student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses. Use your effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills to maintain a cohesive multidisciplinary team and resolve local or immediate nursing care problems. This is a part time vacancy, working 64 hours per fortnight over a 7 day roster and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
