Job Description: About the Role The primary role of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is to support the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to provide leadership and direction to the clinical and non-clinical team members within the unit to affect a high standard of clinical and professional care. On a shift by shift basis, the ANUM will be responsible for the development and implementation of processes and procedures, effective and efficient admission and discharge planning, management of appropriate staffing levels, performance management and team member compliance with education and competency requirements. The ANUM will be expected to work rotating shifts including day, afternoon and night shifts; we have Permanent part time positions available.
Skills & Experience Essential: Registered Nurse/ Midwife with current AHPRA registrations Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Commitment to continuous quality improvement and person-centred care Proficiency in the use of information technology Desirable: Clinical Skills relevant to acute area Postgraduate/Certificate qualifications This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024. The classification is Associate Nurse Unit Manager (YW11 - YW12) which ranges from $54.06 - $55.88 per hour.
