Southern Adelaide Local Health Network – Flinders Medical Centre – Nursing Midwifery & Patient Services Salary $100,343 - $107,279 p.a. (Pro Rata) RN2 | Part Time 16 hours p.w. – Contract available until Sept 2025 with the potential for ongoing. Exciting Opportunity: Associate Nurse Unit Manager with SALHN! The Infection Control Nursing Service (ICS) at Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) provides guidance and support in the prevention and control of infections within the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN). The programme includes managing infectious diseases according to evidence based guidelines, auditing hand hygiene compliance, educating staff and reporting on healthcare acquired infections
About the role: Reporting to the Infection Control Nursing Consultant, working as the Associate Nurse Unit Manager, some of your duties may involve:
Ensure the effective management of human, financial and physical assets through appropriate planning and allocation of resources to achieve agreed Division / Unit / Ward / Service and strategic plans, Assists and supports the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in management, clinical, and education activities, Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience, Participate in clinical auditing, clinical trials and/or evaluative research. About you: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate the change process, Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience.
