Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, looking to step into more of a leadership role? Knox Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager in our surgical ward.
About Us
Located in Wantirna, Knox Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with over 250 beds, providing Emergency Services, Intensive Care and Cardiac Services, including two twenty-four-hour Cardiac Catheter Laboratories. The hospital has 13 theatres, which offer a broad range of specialties including Cardiac, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Urology, Laparoscopic, Colorectal, Vascular and General Surgery. Specialised wards include two orthopaedic wards, two cardiac and dedicated medical and specialty surgical wards.
Our ward is a 30 bed short stay surgical ward, with a diversity of specialities including but not limited to gynaecological, general surgical and plastics specialities. We have a dynamic and enthusiastic group that work together as a team to achieve best outcomes.
As an ANUM, your responsibilities will include: Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement.Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resources.Coordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.Undertake direct patient care, as required.Mentor staff.Selection Criteria: Current Registration with AHPRA.Working with Children check (if relevant).Current or previous ANUM or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable).Sound clinical knowledge.3 years of clinical experience.Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisation.Why Healthscope?
