Knox Private Hospital is looking for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to work across our 33 bed Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical and Medical Ward.

We have a 24/7 Emergency Department, covering a full range of medical and surgical specialty areas, including highly complex surgeries. Backed by the latest technology and expertise, we offer 15 theatres, including a hybrid theatre, diagnostic cardiology, two cardiac cath labs and capabilities for cardiothoracic surgery, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, urology and more.

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Orthopaedic/Neurosurgery) your responsibilities will include: Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvementMaintain professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes.Provide clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management by coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based.Be accountable and responsible for the effective daily management of human, financial and material resourcesCoordinate and drive clinical audits and quality improvement initiativesUndertaking direct patient care, as requiredSelection Criteria: Current Registration with AHPRAWorking with Children check3+ years orthopaedic, neurology or surgical experienceMust be able to work rotational night shiftsCurrent or previous ANUM, shift manager or clinical nurse specialist experience (desirable)Sound clinical knowledgeCompliance with ACQSHC National standardsExemplary interpersonal and communication skillsPositive role modelling behavioursExcellent customer service focus, time management and prioritisationAbility to manage a dynamic and changing environmentHigh degree of computer literacy including MS office and various databasesWhy Healthscope? If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the 'Healthscope Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025' (salaries range between $52.93 to $54.71 per hour).
