The ANUM, as a leader in the nursing profession, is responsible for overseeing clinical outcomes and plays a key role in setting department expectations.
You will assist in developing, planning, and managing processes to evaluate, enhance, and sustain the management, clinical, educational, and activities of the organisation.This position requires excellent assessment and problem-solving skills for the ongoing care of older people in a Public Residential Care Facility.
This role works closely and collaboratively with other nurses, specialty areas, the leadership team and ANUM's within the team.
The role requires a nurse who has the ability to prioritise older person care, escalate and advocate older person care and be flexible to meet the demands of a changing day to day business.
The successful person will be required to have sound clinical and communication skills.These roles are fixed term, part time positions for relief of staff on parental leave.
This role will require the right nurses to be able to work on a rotating, flexible roster, that will also include working morning, afternoon and night shifts.
Further information can be found in the position description.Our preferred candidate will have:Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.An understanding of Human Resource processes.A commitment to a leadership and mentoring role.Sound knowledge and experience of contemporary and holistic practices in both acute and gerontological nursing.Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.A thorough understanding and respect for confidentiality requirements.Responsible and mature work attitude.Dedicated to delivering consumer centered care.The following experience/qualifications would be considered advantageous:Knowledge of Aged Care StandardsKnowledge of National Safety and Quality Health Service standardsKnowledge of National Disability Insurance Scheme standardsKnowledge of AN-ACC and other funding models associated to the services offered.Previous experience in similar roleAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team environmentDemonstrated experience in providing administrative supportKnowledge of privacy legislation and document control.IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies).
