The Child Health and Parenting Service (CHaPS) are looking for a suitable Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) candidate to join our dynamic team based in Launceston.
The Team: The Child Health and Parenting Service provides important health and wellbeing services to families across Tasmania with children aged 0-5. The service promotes the healthy development and wellbeing of children, providing growth and developmental assessments, health-focused early intervention, referrals, and connections with other early childhood service providers.
The CHaPS support families as they transition into parenthood, enhancing parental confidence and capacity, and providing information and services focused on building relationships between children and parents/caregivers.
The Role: The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who works within the area of Child and Family Health/the Child Health and Parenting Service.
Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day client-facing activities, including appointment re/scheduling and management of staff leave.Ensures the maintenance of effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to promote client care delivery.Provides a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to ensure clinical standards and policies and procedures to promote a client-focused model of care according to best practice principles.Acts as a role model and clinical resource person to provide clinical advice and recommendations, support service development processes, and promote positive change.You will need: Demonstrated clinical experience in the area of Child and Family Health, with the capacity to provide clinical leadership, exercise professional judgement, and work with minimal supervision.Demonstrated ability to understand the business of the Child Health and Parenting Service in delivering the best outcomes for clients and families within available resources, including an ability to effectively prioritise clinical service delivery activities using relevant frameworks in response to temporary resource challenges.Demonstrated ability to contribute to the evaluation, innovation, and development of services provided by the Child Health and Parenting Service and the review of clinical practice policy, procedures, and protocols.Details of appointment: Fixed term, part-time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of approximately six (6) months. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
