The Role: The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice: Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow. Is required to have at least 3 years' experience as a scrub scout nurse in Cardiothoracic and Vascular operating theatres. Is responsible for the support and development of all scrub scout staff within these specialty theatres. The Team: The Scrub/Scout Nursing team works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high quality care to patients/clients during the intraoperative phase of their elective and emergency surgical procedures. The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is the largest public hospital in the state and operates at a level 6 capability and provides acute inpatient and outpatient surgical services for the Tasmania Health Service Hospitals South (THS Hospitals South) and is the tertiary referral for complex patients from THS Hospitals North and THS Hospitals Northwest. The RHH provides elective and emergency surgical services for the THS Hospitals South. The RHH is the tertiary referral centre for all surgical procedures with the exception of transplant surgery, complex paediatric surgery, paediatric cardiac surgery, major paediatric orthopaedic surgery and cochlear implant surgery. Details of appointment: Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
