The Role: The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse who, within the defined area of practice:
Works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework. Assists the NUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day patient care activities, including patient flow. Is required to have at least 3 years' experience as a scrub scout nurse in Cardiothoracic and Vascular operating theatres. Is responsible for the support and development of all scrub scout staff within these specialty theatres. The Team: The Scrub/Scout Nursing team works as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, high-quality care to patients/clients during the intraoperative phase of their elective and emergency surgical procedures.

Details of appointment: Permanent, full-time, day worker (with on-call) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $103,466 - $109,165 per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023. Allowances: You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum. Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees. Professional development and accelerated pathways. Excellent leave benefits: 20 days annual leave (pro rata), 20 days personal leave (pro rata), and study assistance leave if eligible.
