Job Description In this role (open to full time and part time), based in Epworth Freemason East Melbourne, you will be responsible for supporting the Midwife Unit Manager and assisting in the overall clinical management and team leadership of the 34 bed Post Natal unit. In addition to the Post Natal unit, our Maternity Services department consists of 9 birth suites, 10 special care nursery cots and a 4 bed hospital in the Park Hyatt Hotel and currently accommodates approximately 3,000 births per annum. You will make an impact by:

Leaning into the Midwife Unit Manager responsibilities where and when needed Being part of the Leadership Team that focuses on delivering exceptional patient, family and staff experience while achieving high-quality clinical outcomes Leading the team through positive role modelling Being highly accountable, respectful, supportive and engaging

To be successful in this role…

You will either be in an ANUM/AMUM role or looking to step into an ANUM/AMUM role. You are a good communicator, flexible in your approach and have a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients and their families. You're keen to progress your career, learn how to lead a unit and are open to mentoring and accessing internal leadership programs that support your journey. You will have:

Current unrestricted midwifery registration with AHPRA Previous experience and a passion for working in Post Natal Contemporary knowledge of best practice in maternity and newborn nursing care and the patient journey
