Port Lincoln Hospital is seeking an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to lead and support our exceptional Cancer Services team. As an Associate Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, you will:
Provide high-quality nursing and midwifery services across diverse health settings.Accept accountability for your own practice and guide the development of less experienced staff.Collaborate with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to enhance continuity of care and implement best practices.Assist in managing ward/unit responsibilities, including performance management, recruitment, rostering, and financial planning.What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a current practicing certificate.Current with two years experience Anti-Cancer Drug Administration (ADAC) certification.Current Immune Checkpoint inhibitors certification.Current CVAD certification.Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-registration experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife.Skills:Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation abilities.Proven capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritize workloads.Creative and innovative approach to healthcare challenges.Competence in Technology: Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, with demonstrated proficiency in nursing practices.Supervisory Experience: Experience in supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.Why Join Us: Make a real difference and feel like an important part of the community. The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is responsible for the planning and delivery of hospital and health services over 337,626 square kilometres, taking in the Eyre Peninsula, western part of South Australia and north to Coober Pedy. We are one of the largest LHNs by area in Australia.
Services include acute care, medical, accident and emergency, surgery, birthing and midwifery, specialist consultancy, renal dialysis, chemotherapy, transfusions, rehabilitation, residential and community aged care, respite care, transitional care packages, Aboriginal health, mental health, allied health, community health, community nursing, palliative care, community home support packages and home modifications.

This is a part time vacancy working 56 hours per fortnight and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.
