The Role:The Associate Midwifery Unit Manager (AMUM) is an experienced midwife who, within the defined area of practice:
Works in partnership with the Maternity Unit Manager (MUM) and other senior staff, to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.Assists the MUM with the planning and management of staff and resources and provides operational leadership through the coordination of the day-to-day client-facing activities, including appointment re/scheduling and management of staff leave.Ensures the maintenance of effective communication channels with internal and external stakeholders to promote client care delivery.Provides a high level of clinical knowledge and skill to ensure clinical standards and policies and procedures to promote a client-focused model of care according to best practice principles.Acts as a role model and clinical resource person to provide clinical advice and recommendations, support service development processes, and promote positive change.Details of appointment: Permanent, part-time, shift worker position, working up to 74 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
