Associate Legal Counsel

As a result of continued expansion, the BSR Group is seeking an experienced legal counsel on a permanent basis to work at their Brisbane Airport head office premises. There is some degree of flexibility and the role is available part-time for 3 days per week or full-time.About UsThe BSR Group is Australia's largest independent retailer of electrical and furniture goods. The Group has a network of approximately 185 retail stores across Australia, with 12 of those stores corporate owned and the remaining franchised and member stores.Main ResponsibilitiesOverseeing and administering the franchise licence and member service agreements portfolio;Reviewing a wide range of service agreements and supplier contracts across information technology, marketing, equipment and other services;Providing advice to the business regarding Australian Consumer Law matters;Reviewing and negotiating leases for company stores and premises;Providing advice regarding marketing campaigns and website terms and conditions.Required Experience and QualificationsMinimum 3 years' post admission experience in a large law firm or companyBachelor of LawsAdmission as Solicitor of Supreme Court of QueenslandUnrestricted Queensland Law Society practising certificateSkillsExcellent legal drafting skillsStrong Microsoft Word, Excel and computer skillsProven communication and negotiation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAttention to detail and strong analytical skillsPlease provide your resume along with a short cover letter outlining your reasons for applying and how your experience fits the role requirements.
