The roles Fixed Term (Until December 2026) Full Time and Part Time opportunities available Level A/B - AU$75,305 to AU$126,971pa FTE (plus 17% superannuation) Located at Goulburn, NSW We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals in various areas of policing and law enforcement education. Applicants with teaching and/or curriculum design experience are sought to teach and undertake subject development in the Associate Degree in Policing Practice.
Utilising the resources of both a large residential police academy and a responsive and progressive university, the successful candidates will engage and teach students through face-to-face and online delivery modes whilst dedicating workload to professional Industry liaison, and maintaining sound relationships with industry agencies at the NSW Police Force Academy.
Staff will be enrolled in the fee-free postgraduate course, the Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (GCLTHE). This formal award allows academic staff the opportunity to undertake professional development to strengthen learning and teaching theory and practice and embed Charles Sturt values, policies, systems and frameworks.
A generous relocation package will be offered to the successful candidate (s) to assist with relocating to Goulburn, NSW. Goulburn offers an affordable and relaxed regional lifestyle with city benefits, making it an ideal location for a tree change.
About you To be successful you will have:
Relevant qualifications and/or industry background in policing, teaching, curriculum design or a combination of all. Willingness to undertake annual field placement as part of ongoing development. The School of Policing Studies is Australia's leading provider of police recruit level training . Charles Sturt University and the NSW Police Force have a unique partnership to design, develop and deliver tertiary courses in policing. The School of Policing Studies has staff located at Goulburn who primarily teach and undertake subject development in the undergraduate policing program for on-campus and online students studying to be a Police Officer with the NSW Police Force. In addition, an integral component of an academic staff members workload is dedicated to professional industry liaison, by maintaining sound relationships with industry agencies.
