Associate / Lecturer in RRH (Identified) Flinders University of South Australia – Mount Gambier SA Academic Level A | Associate Lecturer | $86,423 - $104,734 p.a. pro rata (Exclusive of 17% Super) Academic Level B | Lecturer | $110,127 - $130,325 p.a. pro rata (Exclusive of 17% Super) Locations: Mount Gambier | On the Traditional Lands of the First Nations of the South East The successful candidate will be appointed at either the Level A or Level B position. The successful candidate will be required to provide Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent. Level A About the Role The Associate Lecturer in Rural and Remote Health (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health) will be responsible for contributing to the preparation and delivery of the College's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health topics. This includes development of teaching materials, delivery of lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, examinations and placement education with cultural context. This position will have a focus on the Medicine (MD Program) and may also contribute to multidisciplinary placement education. About You To be successful in this role you will exhibit: Completion of 4 years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience Evidence of making a contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching at the discipline level, including involvement in curriculum development and teaching methodology Experience applying innovative approaches to pedagogy and/or curriculum design Capability to engage with e-learning platforms for teaching purposes Demonstrated experience in communicating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, key stakeholders, and their representatives to achieve positive outcomes Familiarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health issues and an understanding of the social determinants of health as they impact Indigenous Australians. Level B About the Role The Lecturer in Rural and Remote Health (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health) will contribute to excellence in teaching and learning across the College's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander topics. This position will be responsible for making an independent contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching using innovations in teaching practices and technologies to deliver excellence in teaching and placement education with cultural context. This position will have a focus on the Medicine (MD) Program and may also contribute to multidisciplinary placement education. About You To be successful in this role you will exhibit: Completion of a Ph D, or equivalent qualification Experience of significant teaching and learning experience and excellence at a tertiary level An understanding of the nexus between teaching and learning, research and scholarship. Evidence of successful and independent innovation in learning and teaching delivery or design, including use of e-learning technologies. Demonstrated experience in communicating with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, key stakeholders, and their representatives to achieve positive outcomes Experience with engagement within a relevant external professional domain and within a wider community context at local, national or international level which could include working parties, committees, professional associations and conference workshops.
