TG Legal + Technology is a Thomson Geer company specialising in delivering quality streamlined services and advice to clients with high volume legal needs. As a part of a major Australian law firm, our services are available nation-wide with offices in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth. We are passionate about constantly providing value to our clients - their business success is our priority. This focus on client value is a key reason for our success.

The role:

We are currently searching for an Associate (2-4 year PAE) to join our national leasing team. The role is based in Adelaide with a focus on streamed leasing matters.
The span of work involves commercial, retail and telco leasing work, including acting for both tenants and landlords, and preparing leases and lease related documents (assignments, variations, renewals, surrenders and the like).

The documents are required at a national level, ultimately requiring a knowledge of the requirements (the legislation governing leases and their registration) for all jurisdictions in Australia.
Our clients include publicly listed companies, property managers, shopping centre and other property owners and government agencies, as well as leading corporates across a number of sectors.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have some pre-existing experience with leases and lease related transactions. But more importantly, key necessary skills are an eye for detail, good drafting skills, the ability to work in a fast paced environment and to pre-dictated deadlines, and an ability to handle a high volume of files. Good communication and people skills are an advantage. Legislative and registration requirements can be learned and will become second nature in a short period.

Strong technical skills with exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail are essential. It is very important to have a desire to work in this field. You will also have a commitment to building strong client relationships and delivering quality and value that contributes to the growth of our leasing unit.

Ideally, you are able to work both autonomously and across a national team.

This is a genuine opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing firm and practice as an integral member of the team.

What we offer:
At Thomson Geer, we offer increased meaning in work for support roles. On top of this we have a high calibre client base and a collaborative and supportive team environment for ambitious candidates that are improvement focused.
