As an Associate Level Lawyer in Corporate Tax for our client, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality legal advice and assistance in matters related to corporate tax. Working closely with a team of experienced professionals, the Associate Level Lawyer will contribute to the firm's reputation for delivering exceptional legal services.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research on corporate tax matters and provide well-reasoned opinions to clients. Advise clients on the tax implications of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and international business operations. Prepare and review legal documentation related to tax matters, including agreements, contracts, and compliance documents. Assist in negotiations and discussions with tax authorities on behalf of clients. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and timely advice. Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients. Participate in client meetings, contributing insights to strategic decision-making. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior legal associates, fostering their professional growth. Prepare and deliver legal training sessions for clients and colleagues on current corporate tax issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university. Admission to the Australian legal practice as a solicitor. 2-4 years of experience in corporate tax law, gained at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department. Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical advice. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively.
