About the roles Due to recent internal growth, we have opportunities at Associate level in the teams led by Jenny Thornton and JP Wood.
These new roles will expose you to first rate matters and clients.
Leading specialists in their fields, Jenny and JP foster a culture which is collegiate and positive, and you will be exposed to an excellent depth of mentoring, together with career development opportunities.
These roles primarily include handling the defence of complex professional indemnity claims, public liability claims and property damage.
You will have further exposure across the broader practice on a range of complex matters involving property risks, financial lines, D&O liability and policy coverage disputes.
The team regularly interact with our London colleagues and this is an un-rivalled opportunity for ambitious lawyers to gain expertise acting for local and overseas based clients.
About you We are seeking lawyers with experience working in private practice.
Particular experience in respect to litigation, public/product liability and/or general insurance/coverage claims is essential.
To apply you will need to demonstrate that you have a record of strong, consistent performance throughout your career within these areas of the law.
You will be an Associate with between 2-4 years' of relevant experience.
The following are the core requirements for these roles: precise, clear drafting skills; strong academics, self-driven, a 'can do' approach, with excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in order to meet deliverables to a very high standard; demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently; commercial awareness and confidence in building rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business' needs and with the assistance of the partners, actively developing client relationships; for more senior lawyers, the ability to lead, delegate and for all candidates, to foster a positive team environment.
