The team are regularly engaged to act for financiers and borrowers, both domestically and internationally.
The team acts for all the major Australian banks and many foreign banks in respect of all aspects of financing including construction, acquisitions, property development and investment, corporate financing and project financing.
The team recently acted for:
Perseus Mining Limited in obtaining funding of US$300 million from a syndicate of 6 banks to develop the Meyas Sand gold project in Sudan;Bank of China Limited and a syndicate of 10 banks providing funding of US$475 million to develop the Western Range iron ore project in Western Australia;Co-operative Bulk Handling in obtaining funding of approximately A$2.5 billion from 6 banks on a syndicated and bilateral basis for its seasonal purchase of grain from growers.The team works with lawyers within MinterEllison across Australia and with our international offices and with lawyers in foreign jurisdictions.
