Kennedys is looking for an Associate with 2-4 PAE to join our dynamic, close-knit and team-orientated Healthcare practice in Melbourne. The focus will be assisting seniors with a mix of complex healthcare and medical malpractice files across a range of clients, including MDOs.
This is a growth opportunity for a successful candidate looking to develop their career working for a reputable global law firm. We are looking for a candidate who is a team player, who can develop and maintain excellent client relationships and who is keen to be involved in marketing/business development and client training activities.

The office advises on Healthcare, Employment, Casualty and Liability, and Dispute Resolution. The Melbourne office is an inclusive and friendly team of about 65 people.In 2021, Kennedys opened an office in Perth followed by Brisbane in June 2022.

Required Experience

Ideally 2+ years' of post-admission experience in defendant medical malpractice and healthcare work is preferred.
Alternatively, a defendant insurance background with a keen interest in developing a career in this specialist area would be considered highly.
Demonstrate first-rate legal/commercial knowledge with strong technical and research skills.
Ability to draft, advise and negotiate in relation to both straightforward and complex matters.
Running own caseload under supervision.
