Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our geotechnical team on a full-time basis based in Sydney. In this exciting and fast-paced role your day to day will include:
Project management of geotechnical investigations, including coordination of internal drilling resources and contractors.Client development and providing technical support to Intrax's business development team.Travel and work in the field and in remote locations, including opportunities to travel interstate as part of your employment.Providing high quality geotechnical consultation on a broad range of projects, including foundations, retaining walls, slope stability investigations, pavement designs and earthworks supervision.Assist with fieldwork for geotechnical investigations, soil and rock logging, sampling and assistance to our internal drilling staff.Support national geotechnical management in developing and delivering the strategy for the NSW team.Effectively communicate and consult on design outcomes with clients.Assist in providing critical analysis of data to develop and implement practical and commercial solutions for our clientele.Work with a variety of experienced and professional engineers and scientists in a collaborative team environment.Success FactorsYou will be successful in this role because:
A tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised tertiary institution.CPEng or equivalent.A minimum of 7-10 years' experience in a geotechnical role.A minimum of 3 years' local experience within the Sydney basin geology.Motivated to shape and grow the direction of the geotechnical team.Experienced geotechnical investigation background to AS1726.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with client communications and contract negotiation.Proficient software skills in major geotechnical design suites (RocScience, Wallop) and Microsoft Suite.Excellent time management and organisational skills.An ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.Experience in implementing Australian standards, Industry standards & TfNSW standards.BenefitsBy joining the team at Intrax, you will have access to a range of benefits including:
