Exciting 12-month Fixed-Term Full-Time opportunity for an Associate to join our Financial Crime Operations (FCO) division based in Melbourne.
Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) trained Specialist (essential)
Use your expertise to conduct investigations and reports and help prevent the use of the financial system to facilitate illegal activity.

In This Associate Financial Crime Comprehensive Investigations Role, You Will:

Review and action of 'Unusual Activity Reports' (UAR's) raised by frontline and backoffice staff including Transaction Monitoring alerts from NAB's various detection system, and deciding on whether the activity needs to be reported to AUSTRAC.
Re-investigate complex investigations when required to apply new information and ensure correct customer outcome.
Produce high standard written investigation reports and other written deliverables.
Compile and complete Suspicious Matter Reports (SMR) in preparation to submit to AUSTRAC.
Participate in continuous improvement strategies for service productivity within the Financial Crime Operations teams.

What You Will Bring:

Demonstrated experience working in Financial Crime operations with solid understanding of Financial Crime landscape – typologies, crime types and emerging trends.
High attention to detail, problem-solving/investigative mindset, and strong analytical skills.
The ability to work autonomously and adhere to time critical tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Previous Suspicious Matter Report (SMR) experience is essential.
