WSP Australia's Water Utilities team is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to collaborate on iconic projects that drive future-ready outcomes for our clients and communities.

About the Role
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you'll be an integral part of our national multi-disciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with project stakeholders, including clients and vendors.
Leading the electrical engineering design development on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
Producing high-quality technical documentation that effectively communicates complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Conducting field and desktop investigations related to existing electrical infrastructure.
Preparing detailed documentation and specification requirements for electrical components.
Applying technical and commercial acumen to achieve successful project outcomes.
Leveraging specialised safety knowledge (protection, arc flash, earthing, hazardous areas, and machine safety principles).
HV, LV and ELV electrical systems, PLC/telemetry, and Instrumentation and Control design (e.g.
Motor lists, cable sizing, cable schedules & IO lists).
Design and review of electrical schematics including single line diagrams, starter schematics, PLC drawings, loop diagrams, interconnecting diagrams, General Arrangement, terminal block diagrams.
Providing technical contribution to proposals and/or pursuits.
About You:
We're looking for experienced Electrical Engineers who ideally have a proven track record in designing and delivering projects in the Water (ideal), Mining, Industrial, or Energy sectors.
You have experience working with PTW (Power Tools for Windows) (an advantage), HV electrical design (an advantage), and expertise in LV/ELV electrical design.
You enjoy working in a collaborative team environment, and engaging with clients, with the objective of providing electrical engineering solutions which meet our clients' requirements.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a natural curiosity to develop innovative solutions.
You will have:
At least 10 years' experience in engineering consultancy or design roles for contractors or asset owners (Water industry experience preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.
RPEQ certification (an advantage).
Strong understanding of standards, conceptual, and detailed design for electrical infrastructure (especially in the water utility sector).
Background in PTW, PowerCad, LV and ELV electrical systems, PLC/telemetry, and Instrumentation and Control.
