The opportunity

Are you ready to make your mark as part of the Commercial Litigation Practice in our Melbourne office?

As a Senior Associate, you will have good judgment, excellent analytical skills and broad subject matter experience across construction, regulatory issues (especially ACCC, ASIC and AER), private international law, public international law, corporate and other commercial issues.
Highly organised and self-motivated, you'll be a team player with a strong professional presence and client focus.

As well as guiding clients through their most complex and significant litigation challenges, we also help them steer clear of disputes, by developing and implementing risk management and compliance measures.

Key responsibilities

Develop claims and disputes strategy for clients involved in major projects and oversee counsel and experts to implement strategy.

Draft motions, trial briefs, examination outlines and other documents for domestic and international matters.

Guide clients through regulatory investigations.

Coordinate experts and Counsel engagements.

Manage junior associates on matters.

The skills and attributes we are looking for

1-5 years litigation/law firm experience

Australian qualified (or willing to re-qualify in Australia)

Team player, who adopts a 'firm/team first' mindset

Good understanding of the key risks and issues involved in multi-party construction

Strong academic record and intellectual curiosity

Take ownership and accountability for tasks

Outstanding communication skills

Self-starter and takes ownership of career development

Resilient, solutions-focused and can work effectively and productively under pressure
