The role of Associate Director, Technology & eCommerce within HG&EC predominantly focuses on businesses that are enabling industries and growing at a fast pace. It involves a broad range of activities including supporting strategic planning, client relationship management, engagement with internal and external stakeholders, supporting origination and structuring of new transactions, creating and maintaining a sustainable risk position in relation to the client set.
This exciting opportunity is a blend between a high-end transactional specialist and cash flow lending role. Driven and tenacious, your experience with customers in the broader Technology sector will equip you to make an instant impact in this highly absorbing and rewarding role.
This role requires close collaboration with a variety of product specialist areas, Deal Structuring & Execution Team, Corporate and Business Bank.
As the Associate Director you will Personally develop and manage a portfolio of key Technology and eCommerce clients (that are high value and/or complex and/or strategic client relationships) Proactively leveraging your existing networks of internal and external contacts to help identify new to business and existing referral opportunities to grow the portfolios revenue. Assess economic value and risk potential of new business. Educate customers about their business options and providing sound advice about risk and opportunities for growth. Be a trusted partner for clients by demonstrating a thorough understanding of their business, their industry and objectives, challenges, and opportunities. Implement initiatives to support customer acquisition in my local market. Work with a wide range of the Bank's specialists to provide clients with tailored solutions to meet their current and future objectives. Analyse product profitability and portfolio trends. Undertake annual product review (with quarterly checkpoints) evaluating product performance, portfolio trends, market positioning, positioning with strategy, customer complaints, banker feedback etc. Identify and drive product initiatives which support revenue growth, improve risk and reduce cost to enhance overall product profitability and ROE. Source, compile and present market, client and product information/ data which will be used to drive and formulate product plans - notably market information and trends, competitor information and trends, client behaviour, product metrics. Support the development of financial and pricing models that can be used by the business to quantify new business opportunities and support strategic decision making across the portfolio. Develop product insights, project proposals and business cases. What you will bring Your banking experience with Technology and eCommerce businesses will enable you to take responsibility for full portfolio management via penetration of existing customers and acquisition of new customers. Managing complex client relationships with relevant experience with Corporate & Business Banking clients preferred. Able to demonstrate a deep understanding of Corporate & Business banking, general accounting principles, strong origination and execution, pitch preparation and presentation skills. Strong prior demonstrated experience within business banking and/or credit assessment. Previous experience in Payments or complex transactional banking is highly regarded. Proven track record of quickly establishing and maintaining strong, positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders internally and externally. A commitment to strong risk culture, conduct and compliance risk. Business related degree and/or post-graduate professional qualification is preferred. What you'll bring
You have previous experience with corporate and/or institutional lending, deal structuring and most importantly, credit assessment of large complex transactions. You are experienced in writing complex credit submissions & complete assessment of Corporate Health transactions.Your experience in structuring and packaging transactions will set you up for success. Experience in lending to healthcare business's is favourable but not essential.
