Student Support Services, Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic)Full-time, fixed-term position for up to five yearsThe Associate Director, Student Support oversees and implements university-wide strategies aimed at enhancing student support services in the areas of diversity, disability, inclusion, and counselling. You will develop and implement innovative strategies to drive best practices in service delivery, evolving interventions and responses to ensure timely and effective support while recognising the diverse needs of our changing student cohorts.
In this role, you will provide support to the Director, Student Support and Wellbeing Services for compliance and strategic leadership, coordinating and managing critical incidents, and mitigating risks while ensuring clear and effective communication with students and staff.
About YouAn excellent understanding of the higher education sector, with specific expertise in student support services related to diversity, disability, inclusion, mental health, and counselling. You are skilled in handling sensitive issues with discretion and providing expert guidance on matters of student welfare and support. Demonstrated capacity to provide leadership and guidance, drive institutional change and innovation, and contribute to planning and relevant policy development. A proven track record in building relationships, consulting, and working collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in planning and managing of HR and financial resources within a large organisation, ensuring a positive and constructive workplace culture.
