Their commitment is to deliver quality support services, foster a positive and inclusive community, and offer accommodation that meets the academic and personal needs of their residents.
About the Role
The Associate Director, Student Residential Services, is responsible for managing Student Residences and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and facilities. This includes budget management, strategic planning, policy development, and addressing serious misconduct and welfare cases. This role is pivotal in providing leadership within the Residential Team and offering strategic advice on future student accommodation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Advise university leaders on matters impacting the residences and ensure compliance with legislation.
Develop initiatives to enhance student experience, occupancy, and revenue.
Plan and manage budgets, review accommodation fees, and recommend expenditures.
Provide strong leadership and collaborate with university and community stakeholders.
Ensure Resident Advisors are trained and manage misconduct and welfare cases.
Maintain compliance with records management policies and financial reporting requirements.

Skills and Experience:

Proven leadership experience in a residential or similar environment.
Strong understanding of budget management and financial planning.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
Experience in policy development and compliance.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage emergency situations.

Education/Qualifications:

A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
Understanding of the legislative and regulatory requirements for student accommodation.
Experience in the education sector is highly desirable.
