We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to lead our structural team of Engineers and Drafters in Canberra. Your Main ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee the development of staff and staffing projections for ongoing and future projects within the team, while maintaining a positive relationship with current clients, and work to develop sales and marketing opportunities for the future pipeline.Assume responsibility for management and profitability of multiple complex large scale projects including pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and monitoring progress, resourcing, meeting deadlines and budgets.Responsible for the development, management and training of staff including recruitment, selection and remuneration.Manage the technical and contractual aspects of projects to ensure technical requirements are met and performed in compliance with legal and regulatory obligations, TTW policies and procedures.Apply advanced engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems.Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, as well as establish own client database.Manage and lead the production of designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of various levels of complexity.Assist in the establishment and monitor adherence to discipline-related policies and procedures.Lead and effectually manage staff by modelling and driving a positive, one TTW culture.Guide colleagues on best practices and share technical expertise within TTW.About YouBachelor's Degree in Engineering / Architecture or equivalentMembership with Engineers Australia and CPEngMinimum ten (10) years' experience in engineering design in a consulting environmentAbility to scheme up major projectsDemonstrated ability to lead and manage a teamExcellent understanding of BCA requirements and relevant Australian StandardsDemonstrated project management skills to deliver on time, on budget and to client requirementsStrong business acumenThe CompanyTTW employs over 350 staff across six offices in Australia and Asia.
