Your role is pivotal in driving effective governance and promoting a collaborative organisational culture.For a full list of key responsibilities and duties, please view the position description.Skills And Experience RequiredA relevant tertiary qualification, or significant relevant experience.Extensive experience and understanding of corporate governance and best practice approaches to effectively support a Board, preferably in an education or services environment.Exceptional skills in writing, proofreading and reviewing board papers to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency, along with proven experience in coaching others to improve the quality of their written work by providing constructive feedback and guidance on structure, content and presentation.Experience providing support and advice to senior leadership including the Chief Executive, Executive teams and other senior staff in a services or educational environment, ensuring efficient processes and workflows to support the institute's leadership.Excellent consultative and communication styles including written, verbal communication and presentation skills, together with a high degree of integrity and empathy, and outstanding negotiation and influencing skills.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and manage a diverse team to achieve goals, foster a positive and collaborative work environment and effectively address challenges while promoting high performance.Able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving and decision-making, while also showing strong teamwork and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope in dynamic, high-pressure environments.
