Seeking an experienced and passionate Educator to join ourPrimary School's Leadership teamRole commencing January 2025Ongoing Teacher Contract/ 3 years Fixed Term LeadershipContractAbout the Role The Associate Director of Students is a proactive leaderfocusing the creation of a safe, inclusive and welcomingenvironment to the School for students, their families andvisitors. A major responsibility of the Associate Director ofStudents is the pastoral oversight and care for each student withinthe campus. This means that the Associate Director of Students willknow each student; their stories and backgrounds and engage withparents in a supportive, compassionate and empathetic manner. Thisrole assists in maintaining learning environments that sparkstudents' curiosity and desire to learn.
The Associate Director of Students will work in closecollaboration with the Director and other Associate Directors,adopting collective responsibility for all students and familiesacross the Primary School. Additionally, the Associate Director ofStudents will understudy the other Associate Directors asneeded.
There is a FTE load for teaching associated with this role.
About You You are dedicated, passionate and possess the following:
A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification,specific to the Early Years (Bachelor of Early Childhood,Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education andCare)Proven experience to develop innovative academic pathwaysto achieve outstanding academic results for all studentsProven experience in the provision of Pastoral Care toeffectively meet the personal, social, emotional and academicneeds of studentsThe ability to work collaboratively with other members ofstaff and lead othersPYP experience or an understanding of Inquiry pedagogyThe ability to implement initiatives, project delivery andchange managementAdministrative and organisational skillsCommunication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to the full life of an Independent school and awillingness to engage in School activities out of regularhours.Demonstrated leadership experienceAll team members at CGS are required to have:
