See Yourself in Our Team:The Natural Resources, Energy & Carbon team is part of Global Client Solutions within CBA's Institutional Banking and Markets division. The business provides relationship management, capital solutions, risk management, and transaction banking to clients in the natural resources and carbon sector including ASX listed and institutional investors.
Your Impact and ContributionAs an Associate Director, you'll work in a dynamic and high-performing team across complex transactions within the natural resources and carbon sectors, focusing on corporate and project finance of mining assets. You will be involved in various aspects of deal-related activity, including:
Financial modellingFacility structuringDue diligence of transaction information materialsIn-life portfolio managementDo Work That Matters:You'll play a key role in providing client, transaction, and operational support across the customer lifecycle. Responsibilities include:
Leading origination of new business and delivering documentation, execution, establishment, settlement, and in-life maintenance processes.Preparing credit papers for approval and annual credit reviews, providing analytical and credit-related support for new transactions.Analysing sector trends and regulatory developments to prepare and present relevant pitches to clients.Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clients.Liaising with product partners, credit risk, and other stakeholders as required.Providing training and development of junior team members.We're Interested in Hearing From People Who Have:Demonstrated experience in structuring loans and credit for complex transactions, including project finance.Experience leading and executing deals.A genuine interest in the mining sector and its role in the energy transition.A solid understanding of risk management and credit risk issues.Demonstrable financial modelling, research, and analytical skills.The ability to analyse complex structured transactions based on specific client circumstances.The ability to understand the client value proposition and deliver the bank's products and services to meet evolving needs.What We Offer:This opportunity provides exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business while being part of a focused, hardworking team passionate about creating the best experience for our customers.
