Join the Office of the Secretary within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and SportClerk Grade 11/12 with a salary range of $139,787 - $161,663 per annum plus superannuation.Temporary role from end of January until September 2025, based in Sydney, NSWAbout the role The role will be responsible for key teams that manage Ministerial correspondence and briefings, and support for Parliament for the Department and Ministers ensuring strategic decision-making and efficient operations.
In this role, you'll provide expertise and advice, establishing effective management and support to emerging issues and ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks.
Reporting to the Director Government Relations, this is a key coordination role across DCITHS and external agencies.
Maintaining confidentiality with a diverse range of stakeholders will be vital in this high-volume environment.
About You You are a highly skilled and experienced government relations professional with a strong background in parliamentary and ministerial processes.
You have exceptional communication and stakeholder advisory skills and are someone who values integrity, confidentiality, and collaboration.
You believe in fostering a positive and inclusive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
You have proven team leadership experience and thrive in high-pressure environments.
Your deep knowledge of Ministerial support, coupled with your ability to solve complex and sensitive issues will contribute to your ultimate success in this role.
In addition, we are looking for someone with the following experience:
Leading teams and influencing others to implement improvement and change in a commercially sensitive environment.Driving performance and continuous improvement in government processes.Strong ability to compose articulate and detailed written material.Knowledge of the Westminster system will also be highly valued.How to Apply!
