Urbis, Shaping futures your way! The Opportunity: Urbis has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Planning team in Perth!
In this role you will possess in-depth understanding of statutory and strategic urban planning and will provide provide a range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, masterplans, the approval process and management. With your technical background, you will be expected to bring considerable leadership, credibility and professionalism to the role, and build and maintain new and existing relationships with clients and contribute to the overall growth of WA Planning.
As a member of the WA Planning leadership team, you will also play a role in supporting staff growth and development, through on-the-job coaching and mentoring, and strong people management and leadership skills.
You will: Provide an expert range of services including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans, the approval process and management;Provide advanced statutory and strategic urban planning principles and methods and the ability to apply them, including advice relating to land use, development capability, due diligence assessments, master plans and the approval process and management;Assist with forecasting, project budgeting and financial management;Support the delivery of strategic planning projects and other national initiatives;Providing with others, technical and management support to the planning team (and staff members) on a day-to-day basis, ensuring committed projects are, and remain, commercially viable;Support Directors to achieve 'whole-of-office' business plan outcomes, in conjunction with other Business Units;Proactively identify opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across Western Australia and the broader firm on cross-disciplinary projects;Generate new work and sustained and profitable business performance, through the maintenance of, and building upon, existing and potential client relationships and professional networks, across a range of industry sectors;Keep abreast of market developments and industry trends affecting the business and devise strategies to respond;Nurture and develop individual staff members, through effective coaching and mentoring;About you: You hold tertiary qualifications in Regional and Urban/Town Planning or a related disciplineYou have relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environmentA proven ability to manage and develop team membersA proven track record of identifying and winning new businessWhy Urbis?
