Our client is a national multi-disciplinary consultancy that specialises in providing expert advice on heritage conservation.
Providing independent, strategic advice on all heritage aspects of properties and projects, from pre-design and approval to construction; they offer innovative solutions to help negotiate heritage framework for development.
With a diverse pipeline of projects ranging from cultural context studies linked to urban renewal, greenfield housing developments, State Government industrial nodes, Federal defence projects and significant renewable energy initiatives, they are unlike your usual heritage consultancy.
An exciting opportunity for an Associate Director has now arisen in their Heritage team.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in managing Aboriginal heritage projects, with a strong emphasis on site identification and avoidance surveys, Section 16 and 18 approvals, desktop due diligence reports, and excavations.
They should be adept at managing their own time and producing written work of the highest standard.
The role will lead the team in delivering both historic and Aboriginal archaeological projects, including complex fieldwork and permit application processes in close communication with directors, clients and other stakeholders.
This position is also responsible for supporting the National Director further growing the archaeology offering in the Perth office.
To be successful you will have: Tertiary qualifications in archaeology, anthropology or cultural heritage management.
Demonstrated experience and strong track record with a similar role at similar level.
6-10+ years of post-graduate experience, specialising in archaeology and ideally anthropology.
Demonstrated ability to be recognised as an Excavation Director is favourable.
