Associate Director, GTS BCM, Digital Job Description Opportunity to join Westpac's Institutional Bank and be part of the exciting digitalisation agenda with the Westpac One Core program Established career path and progression opportunities Sydney Based The Global Transaction Services (GTS) business unit is a key pillar in the success of Westpac's Institutional Bank (WIB) as well as the broader Group.
GTS provides transactional banking, client experience and solution implementation for institutional customers.
GTS is also the product owner for some transactional banking products distributed to customers in the Westpac Consumer and Business Banking division.
We also manage the bank's payment networks, the regulatory and payments strategy agenda, and (with Group Operations) payments operations including clearing and settlements.
How will I help? This will be a critical role in the oversight of risk in change for the GTS Digital Westpac One Core program, with a high exposure to the GTS Payments and Technology agenda.
As an Associate Director GTS, BCM Digital you will play a leading role in implementing and managing first line Operational Risk management and monitoring obligations in Westpac Institutional Bank.
You will support consistent implementation and embedding of risk management framework, policies and controls across the Global Transaction Services business and value chain.
Furthermore, you will also partner with key stakeholders across the GTS value chain on all matters risk and control, having a strong Risk in Change or Risk Transformation mindset to develop pragmatic solutions to risk and control problems through to end-to-end implementation.
Other key responsibilities include: Ensure divisional and business operational risk practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group Drive a strong risk and controls culture by providing risk expertise in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management and reporting of current and emerging risks, and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness, and ownership of risk Act as standard bearer for certain Group risk policies, standards and procedures ensuring their consistent application within and across each Product Domain Squad Provide support to the business in developing their risk profile, including defining and operationalising relevant RAS metrics Provide risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis, and remediation of incidents for the GTS product domain Provide input to regulatory requests and remediation, and support the delivery of remediation programs for the GTS product domain Provide input into the quality of JUNO and Holocentric records and updates to drive a risk focussed culture What do I need? To be successful in this role as an Associate Director GTS, BCM Digital, you must be an experienced (at least 7 years) First Line Operational Risk professional within a Banking or Financial Services organisation.
Ideally you will also have Institutional/Transactional Banking payments products experience, and risk in change, risk transformation, project risk or delivery risk experience.
Other key competencies include: Strong skills in communication, strategic and innovative thinking, adaptability and problem solving, relationship building, teamwork, influencing, negotiation Be proactive, organised and outcomes focussed Maintain a high commercial acumen in risk management, technology and security risk industry practices knowledge, with a strong customer focus Relevant tertiary qualifications What's in it for me?
