Permanent Sydney Based Flexible working arrangements How will I help? This role is within Group Treasury, the heart of the Bank, where you will get exposure to a range of senior stakeholders from Westpac's Businesses, Finance, Technology and Risk divisions. The Change and Models Team is currently a team of ten and sits within Balance Sheet Management, Global Funding, Prudential Governance, Reporting & Insights Team. We support all liquidity transformation initiatives comprising APS 210, as well as others in offshore jurisdictions for Westpac subsidiaries, namely New Zealand and Europe. These initiatives extend to the enhancement, automation and uplift Treasury's liquidity reporting engine, stress testing development and consideration new product initiatives impacting the Group.
The Change and Models Team is supported by the Prudential and Governance (P&G) Team who advise on all policy considerations APS210 related. This aids the Change and Management Team to provide a conduit-like service to the Treasury Technology (TT) Team in capacity of business SME's, where we play a vital role in the value chain ensuring the Liquidity "Model" is configured appropriately and fit for use by the Reporting and Insights Team.
The Change and Models Team is responsible for:
Providing business SME for all technical and non-technical changes to the Model Acting as a conduit between policy advisers (P&G Team) and technical implementors (Treasury Tech) Support any engagements with Model Risk comprising periodic reviews and material changes to the Model Advise Product Owners on all technical liquidity considerations presented to the Treasury via the Front Door Support our Treasury Technology Team by providing business requirement for items of change, including acceptance criteria and end to end validation of all change Configuration of change within the newly created business rule engine application What's in it for me? What do I need? Previous experience in liquidity risk management and / or Group Treasury Working autonomously and navigating ambiguity Ability to see forest from the trees i.e. extract the micro issues and translate into big-picture impacts for senior management Negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes with stakeholders Writing and presenting reports to senior management and committees Technical skills comprising SQL considered advantageous What's it like to work there?
