Full time, continuing appointmentProfessional Level 10 Salary - $128,903 to $143,061 paPlus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leaveCasuarina CampusUtilise your strong finance experience to lead the accounting services at Charles Darwin University (CDU)About the PositionAs the Associate Director Finance, you will lead the accounting services of the University and be responsible for the preparation of the statutory annual financial accounts and other ad hoc financial reporting obligations. Working closely with other finance staff you will manage and participate in the ongoing verification and reconciliation processes which are necessary to ensure the veracity of accounts produced and the development of operating efficiencies and effectiveness including guidelines and work procedures.About YouTo be successful, you will require:Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)Extensive experience and success in a similar role including the preparing or auditing of financial statements.Proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resourcesExcellent communication skill (written and oral), strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated with strong performance orientation.Demonstrated experience in the use of initiative, creativity and innovation in work practices.Contemporary knowledge of the Australian taxation system, Australian Accounting Standards and financial accounting best practice.Demonstrated ability to undertake effective professional interactions through engaging, respecting, involving, supporting and listening to clients.Knowledge and/or experience in the operations of a Higher Education or TAFE institution, particularly in the area of financial accounting.Knowledge of the TechnologyOne application suite and/or similar larger applications e.g. SAPRemunerationAppointment to this role will be at Professional level 10. The base salary will be in the range of $128,903 to $143,061 per annum.
