Salary Range: $157,341 - $180,991
This senior role will lead Victoria Legal Aid's (VLA) family violence response and coordinate strategic projects and innovation across the Family, Youth and Children's Law (FYCL) Directorate including in family violence and family law.

Full time ongoing position Salary range: $157,341 - $180,991 plus super plus salary packaging Up to $15,900 in salary packaging and hybrid WFH & office model About the role In this role, you will provide leadership and advice in relation to strategy, policy, legal issues and priorities relating to the provision of family violence services to clients.
You will also drive the implementation of organisational priorities and policies across the Family, Youth and Children's Law (FYCL) Directorate.
In addition, you will design, develop and implement FYCL's cross directorate initiatives and projects including proactively identifying the need for projects, developing proposals, overseeing the establishment of projects and transition of projects to business as usual.

You will develop and maintain strong, productive and respectful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including representing FYCL's strategic interests at internal and external forums.
This role will also involve managing a team of staff and providing mentoring and coaching to senior staff.

This role is based at our Melbourne CBD office on Wurundjeri Country.

About you As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
Demonstrated leadership experience in the public and/or legal sector including a demonstrated ability to develop and meet strategic priorities, identify and address risk, and add value to the shared purpose of a large organisation.
Proven management experience, including demonstrated experience and ability to lead a team to high performance, manage change and deliver on priorities.
Extensive experience in developing, implementing and evaluating complex, high impact projects, including developing funding bids.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with people across all levels of the organisation and engage and build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders.
