We foster an open culture founded on our core values: Safety, Integrity, Innovation, Collaboration, and Excellence.Role SummaryAtkinsRéalis Australia have newly created a national position for an Associate Director of Environment & Sustainability to lead our team from either Brisbane or Sydney.In this role, you would be responsible for supporting our current portfolio of work within the renewable energy, defence, water and transportation markets nation-wide, as well as the overall growth and development of new environmental service lines and our team.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leading the environmental consultancy team, including delivery of pre and post approval works.Playing a key role in the development of AtkinsRéalis' environmental and sustainability capabilities across Australia's Power & Renewables, Defence, Transportation and Water markets.Contributing to the development of complex project proposals/cost estimates and participating in the process of securing new business opportunities or expanding the scope of existing projects.Leading the environmental requirements across multi-sector projects and working with our global team.Building and developing the environmental team, liaising with internal talent acquisition through experienced and early career recruitment.Operating as a key client contact, developing environmental opportunities, managing client expectations and building lasting relationships.Working with the ANZ leadership team (CEO, Practice Director, and Markets Directors) to develop service line strategies.Delivering on market strategies to determine project opportunities.Desired Skills, Experience and CapabilitiesEstablished experience in growing service offerings and in-house capabilities across the Australian environmental market.A keen interest in diversifying AtkinsRéalis' sustainability service line in Australia.In-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework and technical elements.Excellent interpersonal and technical skills and the ability to develop and lead teams.Exposure to writing tenders/proposals in the pursuit of winning new business.Experience or interest in getting involved in Business Development to create and deliver on strategies.Tertiary qualifications in Science, Environment Engineering or a related field, or experience deemed equivalent.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWe're not all the same and that's our greatest strength and we believe that 'Different Makes a Difference.'
